Project Details

The project consisted of the excavation of approximately 17,650m3 of sediment, marine transport via sealed dump-scows to a constructed off-loading facility at Wharf 5, trucking and depositing the dredgeate to a previously constructed containment facility.

All dredging was conducted inside a moon-pool / turbidity curtain utilizing Dean’s GPS-positioned hydraulic excavator which was equipped with a level-cut, environmental clamshell bucket.  Turbidity from dredging operations as well as from run-off at the disposal facility was ongoing.  Operations were continuous with a 24/7 schedule.
